Privacy policy

Parkimate collects no personal data. All information recorded by the user remains in the app's private storage, on the device. The developer neither receives nor holds any data, and has no technical means of obtaining it.
1. Controller and scope
Parkimate is published by an independent developer, reachable at gprovenz.dev@gmail.com. Because the app transmits no information and the developer operates no server, no processing of personal data is carried out by the developer, and there is accordingly no processing for which a lawful basis under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 would need to be identified. The diary data is processed solely by the user, on the user's own device and under the user's own control.
This policy concerns the Parkimate app for Android. The website hosting this page is the subject of a separate document, the cookie policy, which describes how it operates and records the absence of cookies and tracking tools.
2. Data recorded by the app, and where it is held

The diary entries describe the user's state of health, which Regulation (EU) 2016/679 treats as a special category of personal data; the prescribed therapy is information of the same nature. It is precisely for that reason that the app is built so that such information never leaves the device unless the user arranges for it to do so. No other app can reach that storage, and neither can the developer. There is no account, no sign-in and no server.
3. The technical basis for the statements above
Parkimate does not request the INTERNET permission. Android enforces this:
without that permission the operating system does not allow the app to open any network
connection. This is not a setting that can be changed silently once the app is installed, but
a declaration in the manifest, which anyone may extract from the installed package and
verify.
Android's automatic backup is likewise switched off (allowBackup="false"), so
the system does not copy the diary to Google Drive.
The app integrates no advertising network, no analytics library, no crash reporting service and no third-party SDK. Nobody is informed that the app has been opened, or when.
4. Permissions requested

The app requests no further permission. It does not request access to storage, contacts, location, camera or microphone. CSV and PDF files are read and written through the system file picker, which grants access to the single file the user indicates.
5. Transfers arranged by the user
Parkimate can export the diary as CSV and produce a PDF report intended for the doctor, and can pass either to another app through Android's share function. This happens only at the user's request, the user determining the moment, the period covered, where the file is placed and who receives it. Both documents are displayed within the app before any transmission.
Once exported, the file is an ordinary document under the user's control and is no longer governed by this policy. Its subsequent handling is subject to the terms of the app, mail service or storage service selected.
6. Retention period
The diary remains on the device until deleted by the user. There is no expiry and no automatic clean-up, as no information is held elsewhere and there is no data for the developer to retain or erase.
7. Erasure of data
- A single entry: open it in the app and select Delete.
- A single therapy time: delete it in the settings. Deleting it removes the corresponding reminder as well.
- The whole diary: uninstall the app. Android removes its private storage at the same time. In the absence of backups and of copies on any server, the erasure is complete and final. The same result is obtained from the Android settings, under Apps → Parkimate → Storage → Clear storage, where the app is to be kept installed.
Restoring a backup never entails an erasure: it adds the entries contained in the file, updates those the file describes differently, and leaves the remainder unaltered. Erasure is always an explicit act.
8. Rights of the data subject
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 grants the data subject the right of access to their personal data, together with the rights of rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability. Since the developer holds no data of the user's, those rights are exercised directly on the device and require no application to be made: the diary can be read in full in the app, amended entry by entry, deleted as set out in the preceding point, and exported at any time to a CSV file, in an open and documented format readable by any spreadsheet.
The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy that authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
9. Transfers to third countries
None takes place. As no data is transmitted, no transfer occurs, either within or outside the European Economic Area.
10. Children
Parkimate is not directed at children and collects no information from any user, whatever their age.
11. Medical notice
Parkimate is a diary: it records the information the user enters and gives it back. It does not diagnose, gives no medical advice, recommends no treatment and no dosing time, and is not a medical device. Decisions concerning the user's health rest with the treating doctor.
The app displays comparisons between the entries recorded — in particular between doses, meals and the spells of trouble that followed them. These are arithmetical workings on data the user entered, describing what has already happened. Two events noted close together in a diary do not demonstrate a causal relation between them, and the interpretation of such comparisons rests with the treating neurologist.
12. Changes to this policy
Every new version is published at this address, with a new version number and a new date at the top. As the app collects no data, any change would concern clarity of expression or a new function of the app, not the introduction of new data collected. Should a future version of the app collect or transmit information, the change would be described here before it takes effect.
