This site uses no cookies. It sets none of its own, permits none from third parties and resorts to no equivalent technology. For that reason no consent banner is shown: there is nothing to accept or refuse.
1. What this document covers
This document concerns the website, that is the pages being read at this moment. The Parkimate app for Android is a separate program with its own handling of data, described in the privacy policy. In short: the app does not even request permission to access the internet and transmits nothing to any server.
2. No cookies, of any kind
No functional, analytical, profiling or advertising cookies are used, whether first-party or third-party. The site consists of static pages that require no authentication, hold no session, have no forms to fill in and no preferences to remember between visits: there is no function that would need a cookie to work.
The law requires the user's prior consent only where cookies or equivalent tracking tools are present. In the absence of both there is no consent to collect, and a banner asking for it would have no subject.
3. No equivalent technology
The absence of cookies is not made up for by other means. The site does not use
localStorage or sessionStorage, employs no browser or device
fingerprinting, and embeds no tracking pixels, web beacons, maps, videos or social
network sharing buttons.
Every file needed to display these pages — the stylesheet, the typeface, the logo and the images — is hosted on this same site. Manrope in particular is served from here rather than from Google Fonts precisely so that the visitor's IP address is not disclosed to an external provider. The result is that no third party learns of the visit.
4. No script
The pages of this site load no JavaScript file, neither their own nor a third party's. This is not a limitation but a consequence of the foregoing: with nothing to measure, to remember or to negotiate with the visitor, no code needs to run in their browser. The site consists of HTML documents, one stylesheet and images.
5. Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. The service's documentation states expressly that, on visiting a site hosted on GitHub Pages, the visitor's IP address is logged and retained for security purposes, whether or not the visitor has a GitHub account or is signed in to one.
These are the provider's internal logs, not cookies, and they are not accessible to the site's author, who has no visit statistics of any kind. It should be noted that GitHub publishes no express statement as to the absence of cookies on the static pages it serves; the absence of cookies on this site is nonetheless directly ascertainable by anyone, by the check described in point 7. GitHub's own processing is governed by the GitHub general privacy statement.
6. Links to other sites
Some pages contain links to external sites, such as Google Play or the site of the Italian data protection authority. These are plain links: nothing is loaded from those sites unless one chooses to visit them. Once a link is followed, the policies of the destination site apply, on which this document has no bearing.
7. How to verify it
None of the above needs to be taken on trust. In most browsers it is enough to open the
developer tools with F12 and look at the storage section — Application
in Chrome and Edge, Storage in Firefox — to see that the Cookies, Local
storage and Session storage entries for this site are empty. The Network
tab further shows that every request the page makes goes to this same domain, and that none of
them is a script.
8. Changes
Should the site in future introduce a cookie or a tracking tool, this document would be updated and, where the law so requires, prior consent would be sought before it was set. Every updated version is published at this address, with a new date at the top.
